LLL Bristol meeting 10:30 – 12:00
Thursday 8th July 2021
We’re holding an LLL Bristol meeting at Avonmouth Community Centre. Do come along and join us for some face to face support.
This month our topic is ‘exploring solids’.
For most babies at some time around 6 months old they are ready to explore other foods alongside their milk. What signs do we look for to know when babies are ready? What are some good first foods? What if my baby isn’t interested? This change can bring lots of questions, so bring them all along. And of course as always there’s time to discuss any other issues which mums bring along on the day.
We have an event on our public facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/LLLBristol/
We have a room booked in case of wet weather, and we have access to the garden if the weather is nice.
There is plenty of on-street parking and Avonmouth Community Centre is very close to Avonmouth train station or various bus routes.
Pre Booking
At present we are limited to 15 attendees, so please ensure you book in advance.

Social Distancing
All those attending will be required to maintain 2m social distancing at all times. This includes any children who may be attending with you. We know this may be especially difficult for those of you with mobile babies and toddlers. We’ll aim to priorities your questions at the start of the meeting so that you are able to leave if it becomes necessary.
Face coverings
While we are indoors we ask that all those who are able to wear a face covering.
What to Expect
As with any of our LLL meetings this is an opportunity for you all to learn from each other’s experiences. Our Leaders (breastfeeding counsellors) will be there to offer information and support.
If you have any questions you’re welcome to get in touch by email lllgb.bristol@gmail.com
All our meetings are free, but we ask that if you are able to then please donate a couple of pounds to help us keep the group running. Another way to support the group is to join LLL GB, monthly membership is £2.50 and includes an electronic copy of Breastfeeding Matters, LLL GB’s very own magazine.
